This stuff is just what I needed. I used tin snips to cut it into appropriately sized pieces. They wedge well into holes and cracks and look inclined to stay put. Then trapped a few mice that were already in the home and voila! Haven't seen droppings nor heard mice for over a month now. Admittedly, this is expensive for steel wool, but maybe that's because it's stainless. Hopefully it won't rust easily. I didn't know how much I was going to need, but I thought I had a lot of holes, so I bought the 6 pack. I guess that's OK, because I used just a little of the fourth roll. I bet most homeowners could go with 3 rolls. I read some kits come with special gloves, but I used rubberized gardening gloves and had no trouble. I strongly recommend protective eyewear. You really don't want even the smallest sliver to get in your eye.
